BCT PBX – EXPLAINED

Blue Chip Technologies hosted PBX service frees your time and resources as we manage your 3CX system for you.

  • We deploy your instance to cloud provider DigitalOcean or Microsoft Azure and automatically configure firewall rules.
  • We manage the 3CX operating system, including security patches and version upgrades (i.e. from Debian 9 to Debian 10).
  • We take nightly backups.
  • We keep your 3CX on the latest non-beta update.
  • We monitor your 3CX system 24/7.

The BCT PBX service is provided by Digital Ocean and has 13 data centres worldwide and hosts over 78 million computing instances. Their SLA time is 99.99%. In situations where a more advanced installation is required we make use of Microsoft Azure which specializes in secure, hybrid multi-cloud environments allowing for seamless integration with on-premise networks and devices. Please note that during system updates, i.e. upgrading to a newer version, your system may experience limited downtime. We will, however, inform you before taking any action.

Backup & Monitoring

We use Digital Ocean to run your installation and we ensure protection over general outages or data loss.

We are able to establish “bare metal” reconstruction by performing daily offsite backups of your installation, which are encrypted and stored in our private cloud. Backups are taken nightly and contain your system configuration and call history records, voicemails, prompts and recording files.

For installations requiring a large number of recordings, we advise archiving these into a remote location. With these guidelines and procedures, you have the full peace of mind that you can restore and move your installation at any time!

Don’t forget that we monitor your system 24/7. This includes:

  • Monitoring of the data centre.
  • SIP trunk availability.
  • Usage of system resources (CPU, RAM and Disc) and connectivity of SBC.
